I do that when at home but the whole Xampplite/Dropbox marriage was to have an up-to-date version of Apache/MySQL so I can code in the commuter train without wifi. I use <a href="http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ip-network-scanner-lite/id335517828?mt=8" rel="nofollow">IP Scanner Lite</a> on my iPad to see which IP my desktop has and just http://192.168.0.*:80 to see all my projects. Remember, you are editing into the Dropbox and provided the other computer is running it will update that local file in time. But *that only works if synchronizing small script files is the ONLY thing Dropbox is doing at that time*. The whole point of this is to accomplish something work-worthy on my iPad (took me a whole year!!!) and be thrifty doing it.
