What happens next?

You will then receive access to your development blog as well as a 1 hour consultation by phone about your project.

I always work to provide the most economical solution for you! However, if there are custom requests that cannot be accomplished by using free plugins (that work) or free online tools, you will receive a specific bid for your approval. We have 14-days to agree on a quote else you may request a refund of your original payment (minus CAD 75.00 setup and consultation fee.)

How much is the total cost?

Most clients who follow instructions and take full ownership of their website from day one will launch quickly and pay about CAD 500.00. This summer I had one client who completed his website in only a few days and got a CAD 150.00 rebate which he then used for later customization work. I try to be transparent about the process because I know you run a small business like me!! I use Freshbooks to provide quotes and for billing. You will always have access to your account information through my Freshbooks client area.

What affects the cost of my website?

Web professionals will tell you that the cost of a website is not affected by the tediousness of the work required, it is mostly affected by the length of time the website remains under development. If you receive and accept a quote for CAD 500.00, you will be billed CAD 300.00 upon launch (500.00 – 200.00 initial fee). If your website remains under development for more then a month, an additional retainer fee of CAD 200.00 will begin to accrue. Your delivery manager (or me, your programmer) will coach you, encourage you and help you complete your website within 30 days. Reasonable accommodations are made for delay-causing events that are outside of your control.

So what we will do together?

During the development phase I (or your delivery manager) will:

• Instruct you on choosing an appropriate theme for the functionalities and design you want. All themes are reviewed for Malware and viruses before installation!!!
• Configure WordPress so it behaves as desired. Install useful plugins, statistics code.
• Answer all questions about Internet, Web and Social Media!
• Point your domain(s) to my server (in an SEO compliant way)
• Configure your email accounts (optional)
• Give you pointers on how to develop your content to achieve your goal (website tone and content vary widely depending on your area of business.)
• Help you establish a presence on Social Media and start interacting with your future readers/clients
• Launch your website when it is ready!
• You will receive an owner’s manual and we will continue the support and encouragement for 3 months
